When this client came into out Tattoo Shop and said she wanted a Day of the Dead Eye on her foot, we instantly knew it would be one for Sam Barber! She loves her bright Colour Tattoos and loved the idea of focusing in on the eye rather than doing the full Day of the Dead Face. Something different!
Sam got together a collection of faces to use for this, different angles to find which one fitted the clients foot the best and which one utilised the space. When he best image was selected, Sam then drew on the traditional patterns of the Day of the Dead Girls, the end result being this Awesome Foot Tattoo!
This client came in and asked for a simple Rose Tattoo, but here at Heart for Art Tattoo Shop in Manchester we don't do anything simple! We introduced him to Sam, showed him her Watercolour Style and he was game!
So instead of just having a simple Rose Tattoo, he left with this Awesome Watercolour Style Rose Tattoo.
Say hello to one of our new Tattoo Apprentices, one of two brothers! Like Danny and Tom, also brothers, Haydn and Ash have always been the creative type and always hoped to get into Tattooing but having full time jobs and bills to pay they couldn't take time out to learn.
At Heart for Art we dont force Apprentices to be here every second of the day and we certainly dont make them do ridiculous jobs. Instead we treat them like part of the Heart for Art family, they are welcome in the shop whenever they have free time, which encourages them to be here as much as they can as the more time they spend here, the more they will learn!
Time during the day is spent either drawing as you can see Haydn here drawing a portrait or Iron Man, watching over our resident Tattoo Artists, getting the hang of how things go in the Studio or just hanging around in the shop and getting to know our clients!
Kepp a look of for more of their work!
Do you have a loved one, person or animal, that you want to remember forever? Portrait Tattoos are a great way to do that, you can find that perfect photo of them that expresses exactly how you want to remember them and have it on you for life.
This client did exactly that with his loved pet Rottweiler. He didn't just do that though, we used the image the client brought to us to also cover an old Tattoo that he had on his arm and replaced it with this Awesome Animal Portrait Tattoo to remember his Loved pet.
We know what makes a great Tattoo, and we want to help you achieve that perfect one. That's why we don't have pictures and stencils up on the wall- we like to sit and talk with you about what you want, and design something special just for you.
And that's why we're famous for our Coverup Tattoo work. There is nothing that can't be fixed, and we don't take the easy option of turning a poor Tattoo into a Tribal one. Our artists will transform what you don't like, into an Awesome Tattoo which you love.
Its been a few weeks since we had the Tattoo Testimonail Photoshoot but the Images will be up soon for you all to see!

Hamsa Hand Tattoo Design
The Hamsa is a palm-shaped design popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa, and commonly used in jewelery. This image is recognized and used as a sign of protection in many societies throughout history.
The Hamsa Hand, is a sign of protection that also represents blessings, power, strength and believed to represent purity and hold magical properties. The hand can be depicted with the fingers spread apart to ward off evil, or as closed together to bring good luck.
For this Tattoo, the finger are close together to bring to client good luck.
