Dangers of Backstreet Parlours
This is our Cover Up of a Tattoo originally done by a so called 'Tattooist' in Manchester.
When getting a Tattoo be sure to do your research on the Artist before jumping into the chair.
It is the ease of calling yourself a Tattooist that is a big concern. All you need to do to set up a shop is wipeable surfaces, wipeable floors and a steriliser to clean your equipment. That's all the council will ask you to do.
Actually being able to draw or having any skill is not a requirement and people are only just realising that!
Today Radio 1 Newsbeat has been talking to Tattoo Artist about it and how we all think that there should be better regulations accross the industry to decide who is actually allowed to Tattoo.
As Tattoos become mainstream, we want people to be more aware of the dangers of backstreet parlours and home Tattoo kits bought online.
